Cyber Security Training in Gulf Region 2017

SANS Gulf Region 2017 takes place 4-16 November, at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach.

  • Choose from 8 hands-on cyber security courses.
  • Prepare for: GSEC, GCIH, GPEN, GCCC, GCFA, GASF and GRID Certifications.
  • Take SANS Training in a classroom-like environment and under the supervision of a SANS Instructor.

The following SANS Instructors will be teaching courses in Gulf Region:

  • Ian Reynolds - Over the last two decades Ian has worked across multiple IT disciplines with businesses from a myriad of sectors. He holds several certifications from GIAC as well as a CISSP, a CISM, a number of vendor certifications and is a member of the GIAC Advisory Board.
  • Chris Dale - Chris Dale is the technical lead for penetration testing & incident handling at Netsecurity, Norway. Along with significant security expertise, Chris has a background in system development and application management.
  • Erik Van Buggenhout - Erik is an instructor for the SANS SEC542 "Web Application Penetration Testing & Ethical Hacking" and SANS SEC560 "Network Penetration Testing & Ethical Hacking" courses. Next to his teaching activities for SANS, Erik is the head of technical security services at nViso. NViso is a Brussels-based IT security firm founded in early 2013.
  • James Tarala - James is a principal consultant with Enclave Security and is based out of Venice, Florida. He is a regular speaker and senior instructor with the SANS Institute as well as a courseware author and editor for many SANS auditing and security courses.
  • Mike Pilkington - Mike has been an instructor for the SANS Institute since 2008. He currently teaches Windows Forensics In-Depth and Advanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response. In addition to teaching, Mike is a dedicated researcher and has published numerous articles for the SANS Forensics Blog. After spending much of his career as an analyst and incident responder for Halliburton, Mike recently joined the team at Shell.
  • Mattia Epifani - Mattia Epifani is CEO at Reality Net System Solutions, an Italian consulting company involved in InfoSec and Digital Forensics. He works as a digital forensics analyst for judges, prosecutors, lawyers and private companies, both as Court Witness Expert and Digital Forensics Expert. He obtained a University Degree in computer science in Genoa (Italy) and post-graduate training in Computer Forensics and Digital Investigations in Milan.
  • Kai Thomsen - Kai has been working in various IT Security roles for more than 15 years. Currently he is the DFIR lead at the premium automaker AUDI AG. Kai also designs and runs Red Team exercises at Audi that integrate IT, business, and physical aspects.
  • Jess Garcia - With 20 years of experience, Jess is an internationally recognised expert in the fields of digital forensics, incident response, and malware analysis.
