Presentation 1: Outsmarting distributed apps (Pierre-Alain Mouy)

Description: Blockchains could help reduce the gap of the entire lifecycle of a trade from days to minutes, even to zero. It is expected that, by 2022, ledger technologies could save banks $15-20 billion a year by reducing regulatory, settlement and cross-border costs. In this talk we will introduce the 3 main smart contract platforms Ethereum, Hyperledger and Corda, identify the associated security risks while developing distributed apps (Dapps) and present the main security controls that should be applied to secure them.

Audience: Anyone interested in Blockchain - mininum development knowledge required.

Presentation 2: Cybersecurity in Modern Road Vehicles (Oliver Nettinger)

Description: The talk will provide the audience with an overview of what car security actually means, its challenges compared to classical IT security, and a quick walk-through of vehicle security related history. It will touch on current research topics, as well as manufacturer and regulatory efforts to tackle the challenges of vehicle related security. Finally, it will provide an outlook on security with autonomous driving cars.

Audience: Anyone interested in cars; could also be interesting for embedded/IoT.
